Every existing tool for parish administration was built for Protestant congregations, or is a desktop-era Catholic system that does not understand Orthodox workflows, sacramental records, or canonical structures. The result is that priests and chancellors do this work in spreadsheets, email, and paper, and bishops can face real difficulty in having a clear picture of their own dioceses.
The catechumen surge, felt most acutely in North America, is the sharpest expression of a wider need. But it is not the only one. A priest should be able to know his flock. A bishop should be able to see his diocese. A dean should know the state of every parish in his deanery. None of this requires sophisticated technology. It requires tools built for the Church, by members of the Church.
Pomenik is being built to serve the Orthodox Church wherever she is present: in the diaspora communities of Western Europe and Australia, in the historic lands of the Church, and in the missions forming across the world. We begin in North America, and our hope and prayer is to grow alongside the Church globally.

Full lifecycle care for every soul in the parish, from first inquiry through the Holy Mysteries and into the commemoration of the departed. Sacramental register, pastoral notes, and diocese reporting.
Monasteries, seminaries, retreat centers, schools, and charitable organizations. The same tools, adapted to the particular life and needs of each institution.
A bishop's view across every community in the diocese. Membership, catechumen counts, sacramental statistics, and clergy records, without asking anyone for a spreadsheet.
Built for the Church in her own languages
Pomenik is designed from the ground up to serve Orthodox communities across jurisdictions and languages. The platform architecture supports any language and text direction, including right-to-left.
English and Spanish are being built first. Serbian, Greek, Russian, and Arabic are built into the platform architecture and in active development. If you can help with translation review in any of these languages, please reach out.
Administration that knows the Church
Pomenik is being built to handle the work that every Orthodox community must do, in the language and structure of the Orthodox tradition.
What the Church should be able to trust
These are not features or promises made for persuasion. They are the constraints that shaped every decision in building Pomenik, and they will not change.
No field, no category, no note type references the Holy Mystery of Confession in any form. The seal is absolute and inviolable. Pomenik reflects this by complete silence on the subject: not a warning, not a disclaimer, simply silence.
Pomenik is a companion to the canonical sacramental register, not its replacement. Every sacramental record module carries this statement plainly. Certificate printing supports the register. It does not supersede it.
Because Pomenik is sustained by donations rather than subscriptions, there is no incentive to add features that are not needed, to prioritize well-funded jurisdictions, or to compromise the integrity of the platform in service of any interest other than the Church's.
Membership and sacramental records are among the most sensitive data a community holds. Encryption at rest, role-based access with canonical precision, full audit logging, and immutable records are not features. They are the floor.

Pomenik is a ministry being built at no cost to the parishes it will serve. It will be free for every mission and parish that uses it, and that will not change. There is no subscription, no invoice, and no commercial interest to serve.
